Gulf Coast Quilt Trail

The Maker Fair Pop-Up Quilt Trail in downtown Pensacola Saturday Nov 16th
Participate in the Scavenger Hunt. Take a Selfie with one Barn Quilt or all 11 and win prizes. Printed maps and prizes at the Gulf Coast Quilt Trail Booth outside in Museum Plaza. Located next to the Pensacon Booth closest to the stage.

From the barns, bayous and beaches, this is the Gulf Coast Quilt Trail. We are textile artists painting quilt blocks to honor our quilting heritage and create public art.

Barn Quilt Trails have become the largest grassroots public arts movement in our nation’s history. The first Quilt Trail Block was painted in 2001 in Adams County, Ohio. The first Barn Quilt in Florida was painted in 2013 in Trenton. There are now more than 8,000 painted Quilt Trail blocks in every state of the United States and more than 100 painted Quilt Trail blocks in Central Florida. The size of each blocks/squares varies from a 2′ X 2′ to 4’x4’ to 8’x8’ and some even larger. Our Quilt Trail will link with the Florida Quilt Trail and other national Barn Quilt Trails.
