Founded 2019

In 2019 Heather Huelsbeck Ensley took a Barn Quilt painting class from Suzi Parron. Suzi is the author of two books about the Barn Quilt and the American Quilt Trail Movement. From that first class to today, Heather has been searching for ways to bring Barn Quilts to the Gulf Coast .


2019 De Luna Quilt Trail

  • a one time pop-up walking quilt trail during Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival
  • Awarded 2019 Heritage Arts Award of Excellence $200 from the Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival committee
  • Scavenger Hunt Game during the 1st Maker Faire Pensacola
  • Temporary art installation in November 2019 around Seville Square in downtown Pensacola

2021 Gulf Coast Quilt Trail

  • Awarded a grant through ACE,Inc for the 2021 Foo Foo Festival November 4 to 14
  • The Pensacola Quilter’s Guild and its members will paint and hang the barn quilts
  • Louisiana Quilt Trail artist Kim Zabbia will be doing a live painting demonstration of her unique Barn Quilt style the weekend of November 5,6, and 7th at the Greater Gulf Coast Arts Festival in the Quilt Trail booth in the Heritage Arts section
